k-here's the deal...
the lfs i work at feeds most of their fish, both fw/ and s/w, with frozen brine soaked in vitamins
species of fish, like the dwarf f/w puffer, in spite of gorging themselves, are dying of starvation-(thin bellies, when dead)
i always believed that frozen brine are useless for food value, anyway, and my belief/intuition also tells me that soaking them in vitamins does nothing-for the following reasons...
a: brine (frozen especially, -adults), are mostly shell, and the shell probably can't absorb much of anything
b: most vitamins are not water soluble, and those that are, probably leach back out into the water before the fish even eat them
any thoughts are appreciated, but i'm really interested in a sound scientific explanation/study-to either prove or disprove my intuition
