Low DKH

My DKH is low at 6. cal is 490, mag is 1380-1400. havent dosed 2 part for a few weeks now. weekly water change due tommorow.

Can i just dose the B part to get the level back up?

Yes you can. But I would not waste the B and just get some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, Not Baking Powder. ~1 level teaspoon will raise the dKH, ~1 dKH / ~50 gals of water.

Thanks guys! i was trying to let it run to see what my useage was, guess i waited too long. Been crazy at work with the storm that came.

cal drop looks like 3.53 per day.

dkh drop looks like .176 per day.

im sure this will change since i've been adding corals.

These numbers are with weekly water changes of roughly 25%. i know that effects the numbers also since it will restore some elements.

ok, dkh is back up, but so is my calcium (540). I only dosed the "b" part. does this sound right?

now when i add the "b" i get a snow effect.

No, that does not sound right. What is your Alk ? You have a snow storm as either or usually both the Alk and calcium are to high.

Calcium is 540, and holding. havent dosed any "a".
Dkh is at 8 right now, was 9 on the 5th (my last post) and been adding "b" to keep it up.

Dkh keeps dropping fast, but calcium stays high. Should i keep pushing the dkh up till the calcium comes down, or just do a large water change?

it's a 54 corner, with a sump. when i moved the tank a few months ago was a little over 35 gal of water.

weekly water changes are 10 gal, and due tommorow.

Well, did a water change tonight. ESV salt. only added 1/2 of the called for cal component. brought my cal down alot.
