I just started using a KW reactor and had a few questions. I'm using my ATO through the TLF KW reactor 300.

1) Is there any difference in Kalkwasser from manufacturer to manufacturer?
2) Will any KW maintain your Alk levels or does one brand do it better than the other?
3) Will I still have to dose Alk with KW?

1) i dont belive there is a diffrence
2) kalk does increase alk a little depending on how much you add, but you still need to add alk
3) yes

i add 3-4 gals to my system a day and it keeps my alk at 9.5, without it i was always at 8.2 with a calcuim reactor.
the main reason i use is to keep ph above 8.0

Not really, some my be more pute by a tad

Yes, about the same

It depends. If your Alk is where you want it with just the Kalk then do not add other Alk Sup's. If the Alk can not be keep up with just Kalk then you will need to add a Alk sup. However, you can not add that sup to your ATO or kalk drip and will have to add it elsewhere in the tank. You really do not want the two mixing in the same area.
