Does any members have any experience with this salt either good or bad. Has received good reviews and I'm thinking of switching over from Tropic Marin Pro reef salt. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Seems to me that If I stay with TMP then I would end up dosing more. Trying to eliminate or reduce as much as possible dosing. Trying to just use water changes. I plan on keeping mostly LPs with a few SPS and a clam.

i personally love the salt and more then likely will be going back to it once my esv box is done. numbers are pretty on par to what they say it is. and yes i had a little resido left in bucket, had that with io, red sea coral pro also. and my corals seemed to like it as well

tm also contains phospahtes ;) jr973 have u used it personally ? and how did your friends determine it is garbage ? i have used a few salts, IO, RC, TM and TM pro, redsea and redsea coral pro, oceanic, esv and the deltec, loved the old redsea pro but was low on alk, and the deltec has been my favorite, love the esv but hate mixing it and measuring

I currently using Tropic Marin pro. and for the price I shouldn't have to dose anything extra like Calcium or Alk. I should just be able to do water changes. That?s why I'm thinking of switching to H2Ocean. If H2Ocean's number are close to stated then I wouldn't have to dose anything extra or very little. Is this even realistic?

No didn't mean it like that. I just want to start off with good base line numbers. I know that with the demands of corals my numbers will drop but I rather start with a calcium of 420 after a water change than Calcium of 370 for example. Same for Alk.

We are not talking a little residue here it has been a major issue for many. There are crap loads of post and threads on it, leaving DD to have to try and defend themselves. The issue is mostly seasonal as the store the main component out side, that being NaCl which is subjected to desert winds and blow stuff in to the drying salt. This is not poppy-cock here this is RS and DD talking on forums and mostly DD DD is made by RS. You may want to cheked out much of it on the UK's Ultimate Reef forum.

tm also contains phospahtes

I do not buy this at all

The best salt out their quality wise is the new SeaChem Labs Aquavitro Salinity. However, Aquavitro has mixing issue as they use Anhydrous components. They are working on a new mixning method after I beat them up on it :) Some guy sent my posts to them on new mixing methods vs their bad way of saying it is fine to do it that way.

I know what RS is as I have been given confidential data sheets by RS for review. The only difference between the new RS and DD is DD has a tad better numbers for Ca++, Mg++ and Alk. Another salt made in Israeli is Royal Nature, which appears not to have the issue as RS and DD, so I'm told.

You sure did and just posted so. You want to let it go from 450 to 420, that is NOT how we do things. And corals Do NOT grow better in 450 or 420 than 370, that is a myth. At any of those calcium levels the rate of growth is the same. It is NOT calcium that controls coral growth it is more pH and Alk as far as chem goes. Meaning, a coral will grow faster at 395 ppm for example with an Alk of 10 dKH than a calcium of say 450 and a dKH of 7. Your goal is to pick a level with-in acceptance range for calcium and try to stay there.
