I am looking to change my stand for my 90g tank. It's the black pine stand. It does not let me work underneath the tank and I want to redo/upgrade my sump/refugium to a 40b.
I was thinking about just buying one but can not find the right one :-/
The stand that would be perfect for me would be:
Not have a middle brace going down the front. Be at least 30"-34" from the ground. And be able to hold a 40b in it :)
Any suggestions ??????
Really need ideas how to go about this.
As a building superintendent I'm hoping my wood working abilities have not diminished lol.
How's about this, if you guys had to do a stand for a 90g RR 48"x18" how would you go about it????
What type of:
Wood???
Screws???
Glue???
Finish???

I am looking to do the same, I plan on using 2x4/glue/and some screws. Mine is going behind a wall, won't be fancy. I even thought about using block and wood

I will probably use foam on top of plywood's well and drill or cut out space for overflow in corner. I'll pm a decent site

Anybody else have any ideas ????
I will use the 2"x4" for framing....... But I'm still stuck between the conventional stand or doing some type of custom shelve that can hold the 90g on top and 40B in the bottom...
