I have a 48" coralife light fixture that runs (2) 250w MH bulbs and (2) 96w pc actinics. One of the ballasts blew and left me without one of the MH bulbs. I purchased a Galaxy dual 250 watt electronic ballast to replace the broken ballast.
My problem is that when I replaced the old wiring with the new wiring (Sunlight Supply uses a different connection socket than Coralife) the transformer in the fixture started to smoke. I thought this would be a relatively simple replacement but obviously I'm doing something wrong. I could use some help on how to connect a new ballast to an existing system.
