You don't need to go crazy mixing solid with ply and metal. And your front and back brace can be 2x 3/4 ply glued and screwed together, preferably 3, which will save you the headache of mixing solid, metal and ply. The corner cubes aren't really needed if you build it properly with plywood, still give you enough space for your equipment, and be more visually appealing.

Also, Kreg screws won't give you the fastening support you need for this stand. Kreg should only be used for non stressed elements. The 90g is about 1200-1400 lbs full, that's a lot of weight to throw on your side panels or the center brace Kregged together to your sides if that's what you were planning. Everything should be fastened/screwed through material into the next material.

also, what is your front looking like? Any ply added to the front? you adding doors? how are you dealing with screws being visible, I take it everything is going to be kregged?

How are you supporting the tank with horizontal sway? Is it just two sides covered with ply and your relying only on the 4" piece of wood to stabilize the tank side to side? The stand won't have enough support to hold the 90 if thats the plan.

Again, a 90g is about 1200-1400 lbs =)
