so this weekend i plan to build a canopy for my 29g. i want the light from my LEDS to bounce rather than to just get soaked into the wood, so to speak. currently i'm thinking of Mirrors, high gloss white paint or aluminum foil. What would you all recommend?

also, what should i add to seal the canopy

I use this on all my canopies. 3coats will seal the wood and provide a nice reflective surface. Forget the mirrors (Heavy and need to be cleaned) Aluminum foil will peel and tarnish.

As LEDs are a point light source and are pointed down towards the tank the difference will be minimal but sealing the canopy is always a good idea so kill 2 birds with 1 paint.
