Help from you DIY's on Metal Halide

I came across a 250watt multi-tap Metal halide ballast made by Howard-Ballasts. Will this ballast fire a 250w Iwasaki?? 6500k bulb like the Advance 71A3802 AND 71A3572, which are recommeded in all the metal halide DIY posts.

those two Advance ballasts you referred to are actually Mercury vapor ballasts, not MH.
Whether or not the one you have will fire an Iwasaki, I don't know, but I believe most MH ballasts will drive them but performance/longevity and reliablity are the issues.
But, if you have it, it's worth a try. If it doesn't work, the cheaper of the two Advance ballasts are only $23. On the other hand, you open up all sorts of options having the MH ballast because you can fire all MH bulbs whereas the MV vapor only Iwasaki....
