sump tank

I am planning to construct a sump tank.I will be using acrylic. My worry is whether it will give way. I plan to use chlorofoam(not sure if the spelling is correct) but the acrylic manufacturer says it is to glue acylic. Is this liquid so strong as to hold the acylic in place without giving way in the long run?

You should use methylene chloride for the glue, IE-Weldon #3. It is thin, and 'runs' into the cracks between two pieces of acrylic. It is a chemical reaction, and it permanently bonds the two pieces together, making one piece.

I have no idea what chlorofoam is, but It may work. Does it contain Methelyne Chloride?

Most people have found out that unless you are building an odd size or shaped tank/sump, buying a premaid aquarium is cheaper.
