I have a CSL dual 28 watt ballast. Unfortunately, when I plugged in a "hot" bulb into one of the sockets while it was on I heard a pop in the ballast - apparently killed it. Because the other half of the ballast is still functional, I was wondering how I could replace/repair the non-functional half. Can I buy a replacement component myself on the web? I believe CSL charges $50 for this job and I would like to save some money.

You can replace it with this ballast:

Advance Electronic Ballast

It's only $28.35. Plus shipping. Cheers

I just picked up 2 of these ballasts on Ebay for $15 shipped. Take a look there. i know theguy I bought them from was also selling a lot of 6 of them but I don't think they sold. The auctions might be over so search in the completed auctions if your interested.
