Silicone or glue?

I am planing on building a overflow box for my aquarium. It is going to be made out of acrylic. I don't know if i should glue it then silicone it or just use silicone. TIA

Gue the joints where it is plastic-plastic, and silicone where plastic meets glass.

Do a search for weld on if you have questions on what glue to use.

The "glue" for acrylic to acrylic is really a solvent that melts the two pieces together, just like model glue does. Weldon makes a variety of different thicknesses that work well.
