I have a 3 hp plunge router but no router table. Will we be running the router along the sides of the acrylic by moving the router or do I need to buy/make a router table.
You'll need to either make or buy a router table. My personal one is just a large piece of acrylic, with the router mounted to it. That sits on a workmate workbench. Nothing fancy. You could do the same with a piece of plastic and a set of sawhorses, for the purposes of this project. There are also tons of plans on the internet for router tables.
