1/8th inch wall diam. OK for calc. reactor?

Hi, I found a place that has the acrylic tubing that I want to make my calcium reactor out of and they will sell me exactly the lenght I want. San Diego Plastics. Other places like usplastics only seem to want to sell large amounts??

The wall is 1/8th inch thick. Is that too thin?

It will be 8 inches wide by 24"inches tall.

Hi Laura,

I'm no acrylic expert, but I built a ca reactor out of 1/8" wall, 4" extruded (crap) acrylic tubing with no problems. I avoided drilling or cutting into the tube as I didn't trust that it would handle such a thing very well...
