In constructing a KW Reactor during the MACO acrylic class, I discovered a great way to plumb a maxijet to my reactor. It's probably been done before, but it was a real breakthrough for me.
Using Weldon #40 I glued a 1/2" female pvc adapter to the input port of the powerhead and used a 1/2" John Guest fitting for the output. I sprayed the white pvc with black paint so it would blend in more with the rest of the setup.
Then I tapped the base stand of the reactor and used 1/4-20 nylon bolts to fasted the triangular powerhead mount. Use oval head bolts instead of the thrumbscrew ones I show. The oval heads leave enough clearance for the powerhead to just slip on and off as required. The thumbscrew ones don't.
This relatively inept mechanic is so proud of this, I just had to share it.
Take care,
Hal
