Almost done with this bad boy. I will put a 75 gallon or a 90 gallon tank on this stand. Used the DIY stand design from GARF's but slightly modified. Stand dimensions are 50" in length, 32" in height, and 20 inches in depth.

Be honest and tell me if it looks good so far or if it sucks. I am a GIANT newbie when it comes to anything DIY :D

Thanks liquid!!!

About 24 hours roughly spread out through 3 days. We had to do it outside in like 30 degree weather so we couldnt wait to finish it . :D

Nice! Is the top solid 3/4"ply? I like stands that are bigger than the tank itself.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys (gals)

I made the stand slightly larger than the tank I wanted to get. I made it an inch extra all around.

The top and bottom shelf are both 3/4 inch maple as is the front doors. When I first saw the maple plywood I knew right away to get it. :D

I made the mistake of trying to stain it in my living room 8O I learned my lesson the hard way. My thinking (or lack thereof) was that I wanted to get the stand back to my apartment from my moms house. I didnt want it in the way at her house during turkey day. Now I have to truck it back to finish it after thanksgiving.

I think I can still smell the stain fumes from home LOL
