I have had no luck finding the size tank I want and recently got a 5.5 gallon tank. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody knows a good way to get the silicone off and dissasemble the tank so that I can cut it down to size. I tried using a blade on a smaller tank and ended up destroying it. If nobody has any ideas can somebody tell me where I can just buy a cube no more than 10x10X10 or even a little smaller. Thanks for the help.

any local glass shop could make a small tank for you. Just tell them the size you want, and they'll do the rest.

If you want to cut the silicone off the 5.5, take a razorblade and slice all the way through one seam, from corner to corner. Then repeat for all the other seams. Then you have to slice/scrape/fillet ALL the old silicone off the glass before you re-assemble it.

I've seen 10"cube tanks, I think it's a 4 gallon?
