clamping CSL moonlite PC on acrylic??

Saw one of the CSL moonlite fixture and noticed how it is clamped to the edges of a glass aquarium. I have a 40 g, 36inch acylic tank and just couldnt figure out how to clamp that thing on top. Anyone have any opinion or experience pls let me know...

PC bulb will slowly soften your acrylic if you clamp it to close. You will need to have to space them apart by at least 2 inch if you do try to clamped them together.

FWIW, I "welded" a piece of acrylic to my tank's top by laying a PC bulb on top of them for several hours. :oops:
