Alternative to suction cups?

My suction cups die really quickly and are a pain to replace. Is there a way to hang powerheads onto the tank with some kind of hook? I know a few come with clamps, but I want to be able to hang any powerhead I want.

Epoxy the powerhead to a magnet, and mount it with another magnet on the outside. There are other alternatives, such as using silicone to glue it.

Wouldn't magnet interfere with the pump?

I don't know, never thought of that, but if it worked, it would sure be a great idea.

Just put a magetic shield between the magnet and the powerhead!

Seriously, yes, that can cause problem with some small powerhead... good catch, Danm, but it may work if there is sufficient space between the magnet and the powerhead.
