Features:

Capable of handling tank sizes from tiny to very large (5 gallons to 400 gallons plus). Larger tanks will simply evaporate more and have a faster topoff rate. This reactor should be able to run for months on one pound of kalk powder for an average 200 gallon system.

Sturdy construction. 1/4 inch cast tubing, 3/8 inch cast plate for base and flange.

Small footprint - 10" by 13"

Total height of the standard unit is 22", but this can be alterted to a preferred height by changing the length of the main reactor tube.

The reactor is designed to keep clear, saturated kalkwasser at the top third of the reactor, which is dosed to the tank. This reduces the risk of dosing milky kalkwasser, a danger with many other kalkwasser dosing systems. This feature also allows more flexibility with the timing of mixing and dosing - no need to have a mix period, a long settle down period, then a dosing period.

Keyhole flange for quick lid revomal and easy cleaning.

Quick release plug and large funnel for fast, easy kalkwasser powder additions between cleanings. (Plug is the yellow thing with the large metal wingnut. Funnel is not shown).

Built for use with a strong, reliable water pump, either an Eheim 1048 or an Iwaki 10-rt.

Intake screening helps keep kalkwasser paste out of circulation pump.

This reactor is all hard-plumbed with PVC. No soft tubing or tubing clamps to deal with.

Top quality (John Guest Quick Disconnect) fittings are used for RO/DI intake and output to tank. The intake and outlet each has a swivel fitting for most convenient installation.

Freshwater enters at the bottom, and kalkwasser exits from the top, which ensures that all water will be mixed and saturated.

The reactor can be run externally, or in-sump (with a submersible pump, of course).

The mixing pump can easily be removed from the reactor by union fittings, for maintenance.

The goal in designing this reactor... was to make the most reliable, sturdy, long lasting, easy to use product possible. Hopefully, this reactor comes close ;)
