DIY stand, need help on type of coating and paint

Hi everyone. I want to know what type of paint should I get to paint the outside as well as the inside of my stand.

I would like to use the transparent oak finish. Are there waterproof paint for this? I don't really know anything..

I just have my stand build. So I need to know what type of finish do I apply to the stand..

Use a waterproof sealer, not paint. Transparent paint sort of defeats the purpose of paint

Alkyd oil polyureathane, it is just as tough as spar varnish indoors and easier to use.

I have changed my mind. I am gonna go with a black paint trimming on the border and white for the middle.

What type of paint would I need now? I would like to protect it from water, because of the water most likely will leak to the wood during water change.

For the inside of the stand, I would to make it waterproof as well.

What I need to buy??
