Krylon Fusion safe for an internal overflow?

I know people use the Krylon Fusion to paint PVC for returns, but has anyone used it to paint acrylic for an internal overflow? Would the bonding behavior of the paint be safe enough to use for that purpose? Looking at all the information, it seems like it should be, but no sense doing a little cyanide style collecting in my own tank.

I used it on my overflow boxes with no problem. Paint the inside of the box for a nice looking finish. After I painted it and it dried for a day, I put it in a bucket of water for a few more days.
