55 gal conversion

I am considering converting a 55 gal tropical to a reef. Something to get my hands wet. Where can I get info for the unexperienced like me? I need something that is going to tell me everything I need to know cause about all I know is I need diff lighting and filtration but dont know where to start. I have a small nano and it limits what I can do and I want to expand my reef so I can have corals I just like the reefs better and my tropical. Who knows maybe I'll get a bigger tank :lol:

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to getting started. Gonna have to get a good digital camera tho. My phone takes lousy pics and this is something I wanna takes pics of so I can say "I did that"
