Okay, just registered here so hopefully its a nice place to learn.
Okay my question, i had ordered a tank drilled, long story short, holes are in different locations. Instead of sending it back, i figure i will just work around it.

I have 3 1" holes in the bottom face and a 2.5 inch hole in upper rear face right side and also a 2" hole in upper rear face left side.
I have plans on a closed loop, overflow, return.... but since my holes are in different spots i am confused on what i should do. This picture is what i wanted, but they mixed up rear face with bottom face.

No question about it. I would send it back with no hesitation.
I Live for the love of plumbing and at first glance I cant figure any way how I could make that work for me. Any reputable tank builder should have seen that lay out and called to question you before drilling. I can't see any good way to make a tank work with three bulkheads out in the middle of the bottom. If your truely desperate to use it then I would make the two uppers a return and over flow and make the three on the bottom CL returns with the intake for it an "over the back". You would have to get pretty creative to make your rock work sit around the plumbing.

Again, IF YOU CAN, SEND IT BACK. If it is possible and you dont, you will have a tank that makes you angry and feel less than satified every time you look at it.

well i have waited a very long time to get the tank in the first place, so i am most likely to be using it. The holes in the bottom are at the very back and in the corners (the third hole is 3 inches away from the left hand corner hole). I do have a way of still using it as my CL, but i am confused as how to use the upper holes for drain/return...???? I imagine i will need to build an overflow box but how to keep it quiet and tidy is the question???
