Slow day I guess but tried the link I gave you against the spreadsheet I have and then just running a example though Bazin's formula.
Now not sure which is right or more reasonably accurate (was rounding some when used formula and used google for some conversions) but got 2592 gph for link, 3820 gph from spreadsheet and 3946 gph manually using a 8" wide, 1.5" deep weir.
das u have just confused me so much i think i might get out of the reef tank game haha
what size weir do u think ill need,
i have a 19 G tank with an external durso box and stand pipe ,the return pump is an ocean runner 2500, and at head of 1.5 metres the leaflet says ill get 1500 gph from it, the overflow line is 32mm hard pipe and the return line is 16mm ehiem flexi
And then what always works is to use what others have done for a guide. CPR makes HOB overflows. If you look at their page, they're running 800-1600 gph off a overflow width 9 3/8".
