Hello,

i have been designing a board to use for mounting LEDs to illuminate the tank... it has unlimited advantages... anyways, initialy i had tested White and Blue LEDs for my 70gallon marine tank... it gives me a perfect view throughout and promotes no algae at all... which is good... but not good when it comes to the planted/coral tanks.

someone suggested using Red as well... and i am experimenting on it...

does anyone have any experience in using light combinations? so that we provide enough light for all living things inside the box? for both fresh and saltwater. any help/idea would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I'd put red in it for night viewing.
But also, simple light mixing: red+blue+green=white. If you can mix all three colors separately, you could make any color temperature you ever wante.
