Well after the wetneck mod and the resulting washdown system to take care of all the skimmate, Im finally done...... :wink: maybe...
This skimmer has the "other" mods as well. 2 of the sedra 9000 are in recirc with one of them being meshwheel moded (I will do the other) the 3rd sedra 9000 is used in its normal mode with a check valve added to the suction so the skimmer doent dump into the tub I have the skimmer in. I also have a 4" pvc bubbles stabilizer tube in the center of the bottom of the skimmer. The washdown system was made with a circular lawn sprinkler, mounted in a 8" piece of PVC glued to the top of the skimmer lid. The inner portion of the lid was cut away. The siphon tube (like Deltec) was mounted at the bottom of the collection cup. A timer controls a 70sec every 2hr cycle.
The next mod is to place a cap on the top of the pvc section and place a bag of KOH in there and plumb my venturi air intakes on the other side of the KOH. Hopefully the KOH will help suck up the CO2 and raise Ph.
