Here's a timer I modified and improved the performance. A buddy sent me a Word document on how to build it. If you use 2 timers alternately with 2 Maxi Jets and a Sure Flow mods you'll have a wavermaker every 30 seconds back and forth. I'm in process of altering the time to 15 seconds each, off, on, off, on. Pretty sweet.........eh?

But the Maxi Mods on a timer is going to drive you @#$#@#$ CRAZY!
I was using the sure flow with a Wave Master Pro, I tried it for about
a week and could not take the grinding sound on startup..

BTW, I'm still using the sure flows and tossed the wave make

And they don't always come on they need to be touched every once in a while...
But nice timer I would like to know more...

Not to be rude, but what good is this post without showing how you modified the timer?

This is pretty close to the 1st wavemaker I built, mine used a 1 RPM motor and a microswitch. I ran mine for a few yrs without any problems other than the chattering of the PH's upon starting. There were NO wavemakers available back then.

Oh I have a ton of pictures all step by step on how to do the mod it'll just take awhile to put all the pics together and document it. I was looking to see what the reaction of the mod before I do a DIY so I won't be wasting any time due to a lack of interest. Other forums I've done hrs of documenting only to fall on blinds eyes with no interest what so ever or it gets hit with negativity to the hills.

His Word document is a disaster to try to understand. It took me 4 hrs to decipher what he was trying to do. I informed him to never employ in a position as a Technical Writer and stay with his roofing job. He had no success with his efforts so he ask for my assistance. I'm in process of adding 3 improved techniques for better performance as well as photos of changes.
