I just read in article ( mag is downstairs and I'm too lazy to get it ) about live reef framing. Basically it consists of attaching PVC tubes, vertically, and then attaching rocks, shells, etc to them to make 3d structures as well as hide things like ph's without using too much rock. The photos in the article looked like the idea works well but there were barely any how-to photos. I was wondering if anyone else has done this, and what your experience was, as well as if you have any photos of the process. I haven't been able to find anything online.
I was also wondering what options people have used to build structures - zipties, epoxy, PVC scaffolding/framing - and what the pro's and con's are. Basically I am trying to design my tank and want to have a good amount of structure but not have more rock in the tank than I need, and I am also afraid of having any rockslides break my tank so I am looking around for ideas. Photos are much appreciated.
