My new 120 tank has been a long process, as i built the stand last year and have not set up the tank as i recently got married and moved to White Plains. Construction took precedence over the tank, as construction comes to a close, the 120 comes to fruition. First pic is of the stand!!!
I am still Working on either making or getting new doors for the stand!!!!:rolleyes:

Beautiful stand and craftsmanship. I like the way you used the fluted casing as base molding. Looks like some kind of burlwood. But I can't imagine that you got it at a HD.

Looking forward to following your progress.

Out of curiosity is painting the back just an asthetic thing or is there another reason behind it?

Aesthetic only. I just don't like seeing the wall, plumbing, stand, wires behind the tank through the glass. IMO it distracts the viewers attention. And you did an amazing job on the woodwork I wouldn't want anyone looking at anything but fish, coral, inverts and wood ;)
