thanks guy's for the compliments. the last stained picture doesn't do the canopy justice, looks better then the picture.

what are you planning for the livestock and equipment

i have a pair of mated clowns and a pajama cardinal going in the tank from the existing tank in the office now, would like to put a few more fish and would like some suggestion's from MR. as far as equipment...very simple, hang on back filter and 2 powerheads....that's it. [well of course a heater ] i would like to put a 175 MH light ...have to call leo to get a price on one.

Saw this yesterday and he's right, much better in person. Hey beuller, you might have too much heat in the tank with the MH. If your interested I have two 32watt pc lights with ballasts laying around you can have, plus what you have should be more than plenty of light for the tank. By the way I'll bring that xenia frag on friday, its got two stalks now. give me a call about the lights I'll bring them on friday.

here's the finished Product, I set it up in the office today and it was NIGHT AND DAY compared to my old tank. I will take the camera tomorrow to work and get a few picures of the new set up. I'm using a 96 watt pc light now but REALLY! want to put a 175 MH light in there.Bueller

how do you get the wood so smooth looking....alot of staining and sanding?
im looking to do a new build soon(downsizing to 20-30g)

i would do t5's if heat is an issue...

since its at work...how are you going to deal with evap on the weekends/?
ever thought about drilling the back and add a acrylic sump in the rear of the tank...kinda like a all-in-one...i did that with my 10g ..and its doing me so much justice...got my skimmer/fuge/return/ATO/heater in the back...

sand....Then Sand...Check the work....then Sand again...LOL:)

My office is open 7 days a week and when I'm off my guys take care of the top off/ feeding......it's funny, I set the first tank up about a year & 1/2 ago and none of my guys had a saltwater tank...they all said, salt is really hard to keep. As of Yesterday 6 out of the 9 in the office have a reef tank...and they are all Hooked. I ruined them all....LOL :)
