Hooked up my new design just need to put in uv and protien skimmer.
Switched over to flex pvc to get rid of alot of fittings....nice and smooth!

thats another story...pain in the butt...used a mag pump to get it going...I did a 40 gallon water change yesterday...with the pump running I closed all my valves then unpuged the pump...after water change it fired right up...

you should have just drilled a hole in the sump to feed the external pump. much better that way.

I have another 33 long...where should i put the hole...I need 2 holes drilled....one for refuge and one for pump..how much whould i save if i drilled the holes myself?

A 65mm diamond drill bit is only $10 on ebay. so however much each hole costs minus $10 is the savings.

But of course you might break the tank if you don't know what you're doing. But see it once and you should be able to do it yourself forever.

I hope you checked that the pump won't lose siphon in case of power failure.. that flex pipe looks like it might trap air bubbles in case the power cuts off for a while....
