Does anyone know how to use this?

I have this pendant hanging kit at home, but it comes with no instructions!

I have no idea which end is what - which end goes to the light, which end goes to the ceiling.

Be careful when placing the holes in the ceiling. You want the 2 holes to be in exactly the right spot so the light will hang exactly where you want it, relative to the center of the tank.
