Acrylic in Staten Island?

Where do you guys go to buy acrylic in staten Island? Do you go to just home depot/lowes? Need this for a sump that im planning on building

Can sumps be made using the plexiglass stuff in home depot? I'm not exactly sure if its glass or plastic.

I don't think you can make a sump out of it perhaps an overflow box because the sheets are thin.

I have two choices - Either buy a 40 gallon breeder and make sections using the plexiglass, or make the thing thing from scratch using acrylic. The 40 gallon breeder alone costs like 80 dollars which I think is more than the cost of building everything from scratch. Any suggestions?

a sheet of acrylic will cost double that, so it depends on what you want done.I live on SI so if you are interested send me a PM and we can discuss your options for both. then you can decide which will be better for your setup.
