I got this of some other forum http://www.3reef.com/forums/i-made/how-build-calcium-reactor-probe-holder-bulkhead-55140.html
The only different thing I did is:
I couldnt find a drill bit and tap for a 1/2 inch pipe thread (tap would be easy to make using a 1/2 nipple with some grooves cut in it but the 23/32 drill bit is hard to find )so instead I made a 3/4 hole in my reactor top and pvc glued a 1/2 inch piece of pvc with a 1/2 adapter to give it female threads, then screwed the JG fitting on and it works great.
Note when you drill out the JG fitting with a 1/2 inch drill bit It breaks the fitting easily so the second time around I screwed the fitting into the adapter first , removed the little clip from the jg fitting and pulled out the oring to avoid damage.make sure all the debris are out before replacing the oring
BE CAREFUL DRILLING THE PLASTIC MINE JAMBED UP SPUN THE REACTORS COVER AND BUSTED THE TUBES OFF IT I new it was going to happen 5 seconds before it did but it gave me something to do all day
