I found this article that shows rivets that are flush on both sides for low-clearance applications. I went to the company's website and tried calling them but I can't figure out how to order these. Has anyone used these (or anything similar) and where did you get them? PM me and LMK - thx and Happy Holidays.

bc,

Thx for your input but I don't want binding posts because they loosen over time and the two piece rivets are too big for what I need to join (two piece of aluminum angle iron). I will look on that site for anything that might better suit my project.

Do you have a pneumatic rivet gun and a bucking bar?

You can make any countersink rivets "flush" on both sides with the right length rivets and proper counter sinks are drilled.

Binding post and a bit of loctite may be a easier way to do this.

or regular rivets and grab them with visegrips after they are installed to help flatten them out a little bit
if the aluminum is thin you can use a tool made for metal studs that pierces a hole in the metal and folds the pieces together this depends on what its being used for though

The problem with regular blind rivets is that the mandrel head remains in the rivet so you really can't flatten it out much and as for tools I only have the handheld pop rivet gun. That's why the rivets in that article are good - the mandrel head breaks off completely and doesn't get trapped in the blind side of the rivet.
