I have a pro clear 125 wet dry 26x16x10 that i want to run without the bio balls. So the question is , can i put lr in place of the bio balls and should i also put lr under the bioball section so some of it is submerged? I dont have the blue filter on the bottom either so should i put that in? I searched and searched and searched without much luck, btw its for a 55gal tank so no option of doing a 20gal sump.:thanks:

what I did was I took out the top tray, took at the bio balls and the tray that hold the bioballs. Then I cut the middle out. Then I bought a filter sock holder and added live rock everywhere were I could. Are you putting a internal pump or external?
On my other wet/dry I mad a fuge out of it. same way but just added dividers

Hey thanks Jarrett, Im running a mag7, plus i was planning on putting the skimmer ,heater and uv pump in there to rid my tank of the con-ed look. Can i ask why you removed the top filter section and replaced it with a sock? seems like i can fit more rock the way it is , where the sock needs room to hang. Thanks again for the help.
