Anyone ever converted a pc fixture to a T-5 fixture?

I have a fixture that has 2 130w PC lights I can not find the bulbs I want 420nm in PC form they only seem to have 420/460 dual. So im thinking of converting to T-5.

Anyone done this? What would I need and where would be the best place to get em?

Thanks.
Andrew

The problem is once you get up to the 130W 44.25" bulbs they are only available in dual lamps.

Dual Actinic 420nm/460nm
Dual Daylight 6,700k/10,000k
SmartPaq 10,000k Daylight/460nm Actinic

I could do a few things here connect another socket to each ballast and put 2 65w pc in of convert to 4 54w t5ho which I would prefer since they provide better lighting than pcs.

I believe I will have to swap out the ballasts which are workhorse 7s and get some new reflectors. Just wondering if anyone had any experience doing this maybe I can keep the ballasts.

No one has ever retrod a 48" pc fixture ;(

Ok how about these questions. Someone has to have done this before :) Does a T-5 really need the programmed start? How much will it shorten the bulbs life?

I have read that the current ballasts will light the t-5 but it is an instant start ballast not meant for them.

Anyone have any advice?
