I use the big 4 or 5 inch fans from
Radio shack. Just put some of the stickytape insulation foam (no idea what it is actually called) between it and the wood to kill the sound and vibration.

I went to my local computer repair shop that carried alot of aftermarket computer parts and got a ~20db 4" fan and used those. Cost me like 5$ per fan and i don't hear them untill they get dirty from the dust.

There are plenty of places selling low DB 4" fans for pennies. Don't spend 20$ a fan unless you have to.

I use the 4 fan azoo. Inexpensive, and works WONDERS. My living room (where the tank it) was 102* for at least 3 days when the big heat wave hit (I only have AC in my bedroom.) But that little fan kept the tank at a steady 80-80.5 during the day, and 81-82 when the halides came on (I didn't even have to reduce my photo period!) I tested the tank with a number of different thermometers just to be sure my digital one wasn't malfunctioning, but they all gave me the same reading! Plus it makes NO NOISE whatsoever. The only negative thing that I have to say about this fan is that you would need a number of them for a larger setup (I have a 24g open top cube and it fits perfectly.) If you have a small tank, it's well worth the thirty-something dollars. Hell, for its performance, I would pay double that! Definitely beats the $300+ for a 1/15 hp chiller, that's for sure.

How do you wire these in?
Do you just splice them into a adapter or is there an AC adapter that these plug into?
I looked all over micro center and couldn't find anything plug and play.
