like the title says, I am in the process of building my drean tank and looking to go leds this is what I will be using, their will be 8 Heat skinks

Per heatsink:
8 x XP-G Cool White 3 watt
2 x XR-E Warm White 3 watt
2 x XP-E Blue 3 watt
12 x XP-E Royal Blue 3 watt
8 x MC-E Cool White 10 watt
24 x 40 (or 50) degree lenses depending on LED
3 x ELN-60-48D (or P) drivers
1 x 60mm Vantec Stealth Fan Kit
1 x 4.25" x 16" heatsink drilled/tapped for 24 LEDs

Rich,

You listed 32 LEDs on a heatsink of 24 with drivers for 36, so a little confused.

If you go with the arduino you'll want the P drivers but you'll need to build a power shield or equivalent as the arduino only puts out 5V on the PWM outputs. I just noticed you said 8 so this would be a total of 24 drivers? I'd look into to one of the bigger Mean-wells, I asked Mike over at Rapid about larger LED arrays and waiting to hear back but think we're looking at the HLG-185 or 320 from the specs looks like the 185 is 3 ELN-60 in one and the 320 5 plus they run at 94% efficiency vs 88% of the ELN.

I should have an extra typhon controller board (no parts) if you want to build one on a small 12 LED setup, RC thread on all the fun.

Joe thank you for the link and catching my mistake, their will be only 1 10 watt led per heatsink, and waiting for word on which driver to use, I think it would make sense to use less drivers for this build, 24+ drivers would require a lot of room, and tons of wire.
