DIY LED 48" for inside canopy?

I have a 120 gal FOWLR 48x24x24 with power compacts and would like to eliminate the PC's for LEDs. I don't want to spend alot of money but I would like to try a DIY for my canopy. I have been checking the forums and noticed alot of people use LEDs as an add on I see ones already done but all LED DIY.
