My DIY 46 Bow Canopy

I just finished my canopy for my 46g bow. I crammed as much light as I could into it, funny shape to work with!
I am using:
2 x 65w pc's, 1-10,000k and 1-10,000k/6500k Dual Daylight
2 x 20w blue actinics (Marine-Glo)
2 x white moonlights
1 x 3" fan
(Thanks to Kris, for the bulb last week, enabling me to run my experiment before I built the hood!)

The sides sit on the tank edges, and the front and back are open. To get into the tank, I pull the canopy forwards a few inches, and tilt up, propping it up with a wooden ruler, leaving me plenty of room to work inside.
The interior is completely covered in mirror-finish aluminum as reflector material.

I am posting in the general thread about the timing for my light cycle, I need suggerstions as I'm putting me lights on timers. PLEASE reply to THAT thread if you have any suggestions for me!

Nice Canopy. Mind if I ask why the front is higher off the tank? BTW no prob on the bulb .

Kris, the front and back are open on for ventilation, the fan blows out and the air enters the canopy through the openings, pulling the heat off the surface of the water, blowing the heat out near the top.
Also, it makes feeding easier, since I have no door on the front. It's fixed in place..

Great canopy, just wondering what kind of wood did you use for the front. I'm in the process of building my canopy for a 72 bow. looks good

KuyaMark, i'm half way through the process. just need to find a good material for the front. i built mine to flip up for access to the tank. let me know what you have planned.

I used 1/4" luan plywood, like what's used on the face of interior home doors.
