The fixture is driven by a meanwell D dimmable so I change the colors at will so I can make it 10 to 20k whenever I want. I only finished one so I have another one to complete on a 75gl tank. The finish fixture is 3watts with 12 cool whites and 12 royal blues. I bought two packages from two different users on RC each one had 12 cool whites and 12 royals blues with 2 meanwell D dimmable drivers with 40 degrees optics for around 200$. Add in screws, soldering gun, wires, a multi meter, wire cutters, hanging fixture and various other misc supplies I would say each fixture cost me around 250$ to 300$ to build. I still have to build another one so I will write a more detail step on how I did it once I get started, but I'm really happy with the outcome and wish I made the switch sooner.

Tank is standard 75gl 18'' by 48'' I did an equal 1 to 1 ratio of cool white and royal blues. Use the meanwell ELN-60-48D. They're dimmable so with a potentiometer you can basically change the color temp of your tank from 10k to 20k depend on your taste. I wired up 12 cool white to one driver and 12 royal blues to the other giving me independent control of each strings. So right now I have them both turn on around 70% and it gives the tank a 14k look to it. I bought the heatsink from a company in north arlington they're great I went to pick it up and they cut the heatsink to what size I want right infront of me. I bought two 17'' by 7'' and it ended up costing 57$.

Probably 96 leds u should shoot for higher optics to have the light penetrate because your tank is a little taller then mine. You can do 4 of the same fixture I have so around 8 drivers. I'm not really an expert but I think those meanwell drivers can run more then 12 leds. If you have a chance ask rapidleds.com they've given very good advice to me before.
