Anyone mod a skimmer

I was thinking about adding a second pump on my vertex in180.has anyone ever added a second pump on a skimmer.will it have any positive effects on the skimmer? is it difficult to drill the skimmer body since its rounded? if i dont like the performance how can i close the hole i drilled in te skimmer

wont work proper, if your trying to improve the performance get a bubble blaster 3000 pump for it

well i got 2 pumps already 1 new and one used.if it wont work then ill just stick with what i got.skimmer works well anyways just thought since i had 2 pumps i would ask
