Vertex diatom filter

Can someone please explain to me the easiest and correct way to use this/one? Also how often do you guys/gals use yours? I've read different answers. Some say everyday, some say only a hour a day, others say 2-3 times weekly. What are your suggestions?

once a week maybe for 30 min to 1 hr depends on ur tank size

Tank size is 240 gallons plumbed into a 125 gallon sump and a 75 gallon fuge. Total water volume is approximately 300-325 gallons

that filter is rated for a 50g system If your talking about the one reeflord is selling

Thanks. I didn't know there was different sizes/versions of these. Do they sell one rated for my tank volume?

I am googling them now. Only finding 2 models. One they say rated for tanks up to 55 gallons. The other one rated for tanks over 55 gallons
