2x kessil a360we.... brighter?

Hey im thinking of throwing 2 kessil a360we over my 30g aio. After the back filter compartment im left with 24x16x16. I know i know thats too much light... blah blah.

The question is will corals die off under too much lighting like this? I would acclimate ofcourse only wondering if there is a max brightness a coral can take. Mainly LPS and softies.

Second question is would this look brighter to my eye or would this keep same brightness level with more coverage/spread?

IMO two of those is way to much just for softies and Lps. You'll get better color and growth from the coral with mainly blue light and low percentage of whites . 1 should be way more then enough the wide angel will get all the speak oyou need and yes you will burn your coral with too much light and kill them. I've seen 3. Kessiles on a 60" tank sps and Lps Lps dom hung 9" above the water kicked at around 100%


Research and do some home work before doing so glad you asked for some opinions before doing so.

Ok. Ive seen lps softies right under 400w metal halides and thought id be okay. I like the very bright look of MH one kessil isnt doing it. Its nice. Just not as bright.

I no I've seen the same thing . Just giving some input . Post some pictures when you got it up and running and figured out!

Also it all depends on PAR too much will kill them if you haven't noticed under a 400w the mg is hanging above the water and the Lps is near the bottom of the take maybe 100-180 par.

Two on that size tank is way to much. One wide lens one as mentioned will do the trick just fine. It'll be to much and probably to strong and you may wind up killing some corals.
