I have a Nuvo 38 that is leaking from the back chamber where my return pump goes. Has anyone here had or know anyone who's had this problem before? Also does anyone know of anyone who repairs tanks or should I just scratch the idea an look for a new tank???? I don't want my live stock to suffer an would like a quick resolution. Thanks any input would be much obliged.

Drain the tank and throw some silicon in the hole. When you spread the silicon put make sure you cover the old silicon and a little of the glass past the old silicon.

I tried an they said my warranty is over by a couple of months an there's nothing they can do. I was pretty upset at the fact an I'm left with no choice but to try an repair my tank. I even asked them if they would give me a break on purchasing a tank an didn't even give me that. I was kind of shocked but I guess it is what it is.

you need to remove old silicone first, as new silicone will not adhere to cured silicone.
you shouldn't have to drain the whole tank, just enough so it doesn't go into rear chamber, then drain rear chamber and you can reseal it.

@ pkane11384 I'm in Yonkers.....
Honestly I think I should just drain the tank because I want to do it right once an not keep disrupting my livestocks habitat in the event it does not go right the first time. This is my first time ever using silicone so I really wanna get it right the first time.
