I was reading a thread posted by ATI on a different forum, and they stated that "over a 6 month period, the bulb will generally produce less total light than a normally-driven bulb."
I know overdriving t5's cuts their life span down to about 6 months, but how the heck is there less total light being produced when the bulb is being driven brighter than a spec ballast would?
