vortech mp10 WIRELESS??

I am in the process of buying the mp10 for my tank, but the real question is how is this wireless.


Does that mean I can sit on my couch and control the pump from there.


Please excuse my naiveness with this topic

It means a pump can control another pump without wires. You need at least 2 pumps to use the wireless feature.

so Josh, I need 2 mp10 inorder to use this or it will work with any pumps

It is Ecotech proprietary so it will only work with their pumps. They opened up the interface so apparently new controllers can signal these units but no compatible devices have been released yet. I think the first available unit will be from Digital Aquatics.

The new wave patterns are cool, and I like to be able to know what intensity level I have the pumps set on. I still wish they would ditch the stupid color indicator that they use for all system information.

Seriously, they want us to count the number of times each color blinks to determine what version we are running? It sort of makes you feel like it was designed by an unemployed DJ.

The WMX module from Neptune systems does allow wireless controller from laptop, pc or iphone as well, fyi.

dont get the 10 ant.its not powerful enough for your setup.go with either to 20 or the 40

I have a 40 breeder and a friend of mine has a mp10 on his tank and it is cranked half way. he has a 20 gallon tank

I saw your tank with the ten it look pretty good and it was on full blast. So that helped me out alot

I have one mp10 on solana 34g and it's not even on full blast, so I think mp10 would be perfect for your tank.

MP10 > MP20. That's one of the reasons why Vortech phased out the 20. The MP10 puts nearly the same max output as the 20, plus it's a smaller foot print and quieter. Win win.

I can attest to this as well. I've compared the 10, 20, and 40 side by side. For a tank that size I would get 1 MP10.

If it were 48 Inches I'd get 2 MP10's vs 1 MP20.

well, I know for a fact my bday is in dec so I am buying another mp10. I might go with the wireless but I am also going to buy a controler so it does not matter to me what version i get.

i have an mp10 on a 46bow and its perfect....it should be great on a 40 breeder..
