I want to hook up 2 tlf phosban reactors (1 phosphate, 1 carbon) and my UV light (Emperor Aquatics 18 watt) to 1 powerhead. I figured good place to put the uv b/c the flow will be way slower then my return. I keep hearing this idea of "daisy-chaining" the reactors. What exactly does that mean? Hook the out of 1 too the in of the 2nd. Idk why but that doesnt seem like the best idea to me. I was thinking of putting a T and splitting it before and sending it to each reactor seperatly. Is that a better idea or ? Lastly should i put the UV before the T or after te reactors? Also for this setup what is the proper flow rate for everything? I have a via aqua 1800 sitting around would that be okay, about 480 gph?
Thanks for any input.

According to the Two Little Fishies website - a phosban reactor should be run at 20-30gph.
The 18 UV light requires a flow rate of 219- 356 gph. If a UV light is not run at the appropriate flow - it cannot do it's job and will not kill whatever it is that yoi are looking to kill off.

To daisy chain the 2 reactors, you should put the carbon one first and instead of it returning the water to your tank (sump), you simply run a short piece of hose to the next reactor, using the ball valve between the 2 reactors.

My tank is cycling right now, when would be the best time to start using PhosBan to lower phospates?

I was thinking once my cycle is coming to an end I would start the reactor, but I am not sure
